Use of the AOVEF Auditorium

The auditorium of the AOVEF provides us the with the opportunity of hosting scientific and edicational meetings at the Observatory. I welcome such events as they are sure to enhance the scientific climate of the Observatory. The auditorium, with its superb viewing geometry and good acoustics, can seat 99 persons and is equipped with a projection TV, large-screen PC, and overhead and slide projection system. The usage fee is $500 per four-hour block (morning, afternoon and evening). Educational workshops get a 50% discount. Cafeteria and other services will be charged separately. A request for its use should be sent in writing to my office at least 6 weeks in advance, stating the purpose of use, expected attendance, dates and times, and any special need.
